New plan year · Riverdale, NJ

New year. New card.
Same chiropractor.

When your employer changes carriers, your care does not have to change with it. NJBack is in network with most New Jersey carriers, and we check your new benefits before your visit so you know where you stand.

What actually changes

The card changes more often than the answer does.

Open enrollment moves people between carriers every year, and every January patients call assuming they have to start over somewhere new. Usually they do not. NJBack is in network with most New Jersey carriers, so a new card most often means new details, not a new doctor.

What does change: deductibles reset with the plan year, and copays and visit allowances differ between plans. That is exactly why we check your benefits before your visit rather than letting you find out afterward.

Questions patients ask

Plan changes, answered plainly.

My employer switched insurance. Can I keep my chiropractor?

Most of the time, yes. NJBack is in network with most New Jersey carriers, so a change of carrier usually does not mean a change of doctor. Bring your new card, and we check your benefits before your visit so you know where you stand.

My deductible reset. What does that mean for my visits?

Deductibles reset at the start of each plan year, which changes what your plan pays until the deductible is met. The details differ by plan, which is why we verify your benefits before your visit and go over your options with you before treatment begins.

My new plan is from a carrier in another state. Does it work here?

If it is a Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, yes: every Blue plan participates in BlueCard, which makes it in-network at this office through our Horizon contract. For other carriers, bring the card and we will verify your benefits before your visit.

When should I re-verify my benefits?

Whenever your card changes, your employer changes carriers, or a new plan year begins. At NJBack you do not have to do this yourself. Benefits are checked before your visit as a standard part of booking.
