Maybe a doctor told you to get one. Maybe you worked out that a real brace is what your back needs. Either way the next question is the practical one: where do you actually go, and what will it cost.
The usual answer sends you the long way around.
Not here. Dr. Atzmon is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, so he examines you, determines medical necessity, writes the documentation, and fits the brace himself. There is no one to be referred to, because the prescriber and the fitter are the same person.
That removes the step most people get stuck on.
You can, and sometimes that is the right route. Know what it usually involves first:
None of that makes them a bad option. It does mean the same brace can take weeks and several appointments to obtain, when the examination and the fitting can happen in one visit.
One visit. Examination, diagnosis, medical necessity documented, brace selected, fitted, and adjusted to your body before you leave. We keep bracing stock on site, so most patients walk out wearing it.
And the fitting is not a formality. Selection, sizing, shaping the rigid panels to your back, and positioning are four separate decisions, and they are where the relief actually comes from. Dr. Atzmon has fitted more than 2,000 Aspen braces since January 2024, which is how those decisions get made right the first time. Here is why that matters more than the product itself.

Which model you get depends on the examination. A disc under load, a compressed nerve, arthritis, stenosis, and post-surgical backs do not all take the same device, and that is a clinical decision rather than a catalog choice.
Usually. We are in network with most major New Jersey carriers, which is not something you have to verify supplier by supplier.
New Jersey requires the plans it regulates to cover medically necessary orthotic appliances, and with documented chronic back pain, a herniated disc, sciatica, or a compressed nerve, that is what this is. When you are examined and fitted in the same visit, there is no additional copay for the brace, only your deductible applies.
We verify your benefits before your visit and go over what to expect, so nothing about the cost is a surprise from us.
Same day in most cases, and we are open Saturday mornings. No referral needed.
47 Hamburg Turnpike in Riverdale, a minute from I-287 in both directions, right where Morris and Passaic counties meet. Riverdale is a small town, but the highway is what matters. 287 puts Bergen County a short drive east, and patients come in regularly from Oakland, Wyckoff, and Franklin Lakes, and from as far south as East Hanover.
Judge it by the clock, not the map. If you are anywhere on the 287 corridor, you are closer than you think, and it is one trip rather than three.
